About Rustic Roots

Hey there! First off, thank you for taking the time to come checkout what Rustic Roots is all about! My name is Madison and I am the creatress behind all things Rustic Roots. I've been working on mastering the craft of Silversmithing for about 3 years now. I am mostly self taught by trial and error and lots of melted Silver, other than some basic soldering lessons I was able to receive in my hometown in Northern California. Silversmithing was love at first sight, after picking up the torch for the first time I just knew that this was the path I was meant to be on. At the time, I was going to school to get a degree in... I actually didn't know. I was going because I thought that's what I had to do, I was lost and at a pretty low point in life. Fast forward about 6 months, I started making some really big improvements in designing and creating jewelry. I decided to take the leap, you know the big scary one called following your dreams no matter what anyone else may think. I wasn't very supported in this decision at first, but I had this feeling deep within that this was the right move. I finished out my semester of college and made the decision not to go back. Thus Rustic Roots was born. I put my all into this little business and never let go of the feeling that this was meant to be, no matter how tough it got. And let me tell you, it wasn't always easy. I was 20 years old at the time and had just fled the nest. I started this business in the corner of a very cluttered garage and it has grown so organically and beautifully over the past few years. I then took it on the road with us, which was such a transformative period of time. During this year and a half business started booming. It finally started feeling like I was actually doing it, I saw real growth and success coming my way. The days of struggle were in the rearview mirror. Fast forward to the present day and I now have a home studio, I'm able to create freely and live comfortably off of doing what I love every single day. I owe so much to those who have chosen to support me, whether you're a day one customer or have just stumbled across my little business, I am so grateful for you. This journey of starting my own business, of struggling to get by some days, of learning the actual business side of things, of learning the craft itself, has taught me so much. But the greatest lesson of all has been the lesson of gratitude. I am truly so thankful for this life I get to live. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and for wanting to adorn your vessel with the Talismans I create. Everything is truly created from a place of pure gratitude and love.
